Full day classes
Cooking4 Student Survival –
Off to Uni or to your first flat away from Mum’s cooking? Then this is the course for you. No previous knowledge is assumed, you will be taught everything you need to know, including lots of shortcuts and handy tips. Learn a range of dishes, high on taste, low on cost suitable for yourself every day, or for mates coming round. Remember, good cooks never lack friends and being able to cook will always make you popular!
Examples of dishes you will be taught to cook: How to stir fry, speedy curries and pasta dishes, great ways with mince, simple roasts and a selection of easy puds to impress.
Just Desserts –
I think a perfect meal should be finished with a touch of sweetness- the perfect dessert. Choose from a light and delicate Panna cotta, French Tart with Summer Berries, Italian Semi-Fredo Ice Cream, Meringues for Eton Mess or Pavlovas with Chocolate Curls and Peaches, or perhaps a cheeky Pimms Jelly with Macerated Summer Fruits.

Fabulous Fish –
Many people think fish is tricky to cook, so they either don’t cook it all or end up overcooking it. Cooking fish doesn’t have to be complicated or a nightmare. On the day you will learn all you need to know in order to cook your fish with confidence. Basic techniques from roasting to marinating will be covered and you will be cooking with aplomb such dishes as Thai Fish Curry, Fish Chowder, Marinated Salmon and Pan fried Fine White Fish with Lemon and Parsley Creme Fraiche Sauce.
Preserves for presents –
Learn the basic techniques for making super preserves to give as gifts to your foodie friends e.g. a simple chutney, relish and fruit curd or marmalade.
International Cuisines –
Get to grips with the flavours from abroad ranging from Sri Lankan curries to Moroccan Tagines and Italian Saltimbocca!
Funky Fish –
Don’t shy away from cooking fish! Once you know the basics you’ll wonder why you ever thought it was tricky! Learn the simple techniques of roasting, grilling and pan- frying and you’ll be well away.
Cooking 4’s 30 Minute Meals –
I love Jamie Oliver and we are of a like mind! You don’t have to spend hours in the kitchen to produce delicious, healthy food. Be inspired by my 30 minute recipes like Duck and Plum Stir- fry, Lamb Cutlets with Polenta Crust and Spring Greens, Thai Chicken Skewers, Roasted Salmon Steaks with Mediterranean Vegetables, Dover Sole with Mango and Lemongrass Sauce.
